A Peach Sonder is a twenty-something Atlanta girl living and working up in Northern Virginia. She loves black coffee, bright nail polish, well-prepared food, and reading for fun. She began A Peachy Sonder in 2014 as a creative outlet to share the twists and turns as she works, eats, and figures her life out. I love how she captures southern living and features practical fashion and beauty tips that never feel too complicated. I hope you'll hop over to her blog when you finish reading this interview!
Who are you? I am a twenty-something gal living up in Northern Virginia. I am originally from Atlanta and hope to
move back there one day! I am a pharmaceutical sales rep by day and blogger by night.
Where can you be found online? Do you have a blog or other online receptacle for your work? If so, how
would you describe it to a stranger you've just met while on vacation? I can be found on my blog, A Peachy Sonder. It’s a personal blog filled with easy reading that covers a variety of topics from beauty to food to my life
lessons thus far. I love social media, but can be found most frequently using Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram—all
under the username @apeachysonder.
What inspired you to start blogging? When did it happen? My first post was in October 2014. I had
been contemplating creating a blog for a little over a year at that point and the stars aligned one fateful Friday night.
I moved away from my family and friends for work, so at first I entertained the idea of a blog to help everyone keep
up with my life. I’m a fairly private person, hence my continued choice to blog anonymously, so that wasn’t the
most appealing option for me. However, I couldn’t shake the idea of writing a blog so I just decided to do it!
Why do you write? I find it incredibly soothing. I get so caught up in my day-to-day happenings. Life and work can
be exhausting, and I look at my blog as a place where I can be totally at ease. Planning, writing, and photographing
for my little space of the Internet truly brings me peace. I would be content just getting my thoughts and feelings out
there, but nothing makes me happier than receiving comments from my readers! I have been fortunate enough to
connect with some great people in the blogging community and am grateful for those people every day!
Your writing inspires me. Who inspires you? Thank you! My first exposure to the blogging world was through
Ashley at SweetSouthernPrep.com. I religiously read her posts for several years—trying out her cocktail recipes,
shopping her highlighted sales, and laughing along at the cute things she shared about her family. I can only hope to
bring as much joy to my readers as she has (and still does!) brought me. I follow along with many other inspiring
bloggers, the list is too long but I talk about them frequently on my own blog!
In keeping with the admittedly loose travel theme of Not Intent On Arriving, if you could have an all-expenses
paid trip anywhere in the world, where would you go? My current travel lust list is L-O-N-G as my current travel
experience list is short. I would probably have to pick Naples, Italy. Pasta is probably my favorite dish so I would be
in heaven from a cuisine perspective. The sights just look incredible and it would be a great first trip overseas!
What is your favorite place on earth? That’s a tough one. My favorite place on earth could be anywhere as long as
I’m surrounded by loved ones. If I’ve learned anything from moving away and living on my own, it’s that nothing
comes close to the love and support given by those closest to your heart! They can make anywhere feel amazing.
Anything else you'd like us to know? I hope to never stop learning—whether it be related to my job, my blog, my
personal life, or anything else that presents itself. I love to learn and think that’s one of the things that keeps life so
